Join the Bremer County Extension and Outreach Office at the Sumner Public Library!
When: Monday, February 3rd, 2025 (A no school day!)
Time: 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Youth will get to explore the fascinating world of wetlands and the importance of these vibrant ecosystems and the biodiversity they support.
The kids will get to play Habitat Hopscotch. Participants are invited to “summon their inner birds” and migrate from Canada to Mexico, with each hopscotch square representing wetlands in different states along the Mississippi River Flyway.

Silent Book Club:

Often with traditional book clubs there's the scramble to finish the selected book. Wouldn't it be great to have a book club where you could just enjoy a book of your choice?
There's no assigned reading. Bring your ebooks, audiobooks, textbooks, comic books... it's BYOBook. Great for extroverts and introverts alike.
Friends and strangers gather and share what they're reading, and settle in for an hour of silent, sustained reading.
5:00: Grab a drink and a snack, socialize, and find a seat.
5:30-6:30: Shh.. Silent reading time.
6:30-7:00: More socializing (if you want to!)
